The film series has a long and varied history.
In addition to its classic movies, Mulan: The Adventures of the Great and Powerful, which is based on a novel by Hsiao Ming-wen, has a variety of spin-offs.
In 2008, Mulantor Entertainment released Mulan and the Magician of the Crystal Crystal Skull: The Complete Saga, which starred Anna Kendrick, J.K. Simmons, and Chiwetel Ejiofor.
The movie starred Keanu Reeves, Tom Hiddleston, and Elizabeth Olsen, and was directed by John Lee Hancock.
In 2011, Mulandor released Mulanda: The Journey of the Ancient Crystal, a Mulan spin-off starring the likes of Elizabeth Olsen and Jessica Chastain.
Mulan 2: The Return of the King, which stars Scarlett Johansson, Michael Caine, and Michelle Pfeiffer, was directed and co-written by Hancock and starring Michael C. Hall.
Mulan 3: A New Beginning, which debuted in 2016, starred Jaden Smith and Daisy Ridley, and stars Keanu and Daisy’s daughter, Maleficent.
While the Mulans have always been a popular choice for films to be adapted for television, it seems that a new film series is in the works, with producers David Goyer and Jon Berg recently saying that they are looking at adapting Mulan, Mulanda, and Mulan 3 as a TV series.
The Mulans spin- offs have been praised for being a unique and entertaining ride for children and adults alike, and it seems like Mulan fans are in for a treat when Mulan 4: The Movie comes out in 2019.
As we get closer to the release of Mulan 5: The Battle for the Crystal Throne, you can expect the upcoming series to feature a more family-friendly cast, which could be great news for the children.
Mulans cast has been well known for its diverse cast, and the upcoming Mulan series could be an exciting new direction for the Mulantors’ films.
A new Mulan film will be released on January 13, 2019, with more information on the film coming soon.
